GDF SUEZ Energy UK has operated in the UK since 1999, we are now the third largest supplier of gas to business customers and supply many of the largest electricity consumers in the UK. We are also market leaders in Load Management services.
GDF SUEZ has completed the construction of its first UK wind farm project at Craigengelt, near Stirling, in Scotland. The wind farm consists of eight turbines with a total capacity of 20MW,which is enough to supply the equivalent of 9,000 homes with renewable energy.
The Government has analysed the responses to the third consultation on the Scheme. As a result of feedback received, several aspects of the scheme have been amended. This document provides the Government's response to the consultation, and outlines the changes and developments to the scheme that will be implemented.
Paris, October 28, 2009 - A consortium of GDF SUEZ SA (‘GDF SUEZ'), Iberdrola SA (‘Iberdrola') and Scottish and Southern Energy Plc (‘SSE') has been successful in securing an option to purchase land for the development of a new nuclear power station at Sellafield on the Cumbrian Coast from the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (‘NDA') for a total cash consideration of £70m in the process which concluded today 28th October 2009.
