Energy & Environment day - As part of our commitment to reducing our impact on the environment, we now hold an annual Energy & Environment Day every October or November. The aim of this day is to promote and encourage energy efficiency and recycling wherever possible. We encourage our staff to think a bit more about how their daily actions affect the environment we live in and to cut down on the amount of wasted energy both at home and in the office.

We have recently signed a three year tree planting partnership with Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust highlighting our commitment to the
environment, our local community and the Yorkshire region.
The Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust is an organisation that works to support the environmental, social and economic well-being of the Yorkshire Dales in many different ways. These include the conservation of woodlands, wildlife habitats, walls, village halls and historic buildings in the area.
We have already planted a significant number of trees at Bargh Farm, near Settle in the Yorkshire Dales, which will help to offset our carbon footprint.

GDF SUEZ Energy UK have chosen Yorkshire Cancer Research to support throughout the year. Yorkshire Cancer Research's mission is to promote research, principally in Yorkshire, into the cause and cure of cancer and to publish and share the results of this research with the world's scientific community for the benefit of mankind. They do this by fundraising in Yorkshire and providing grants to Yorkshire academic institutions. Their aim is to fund specialists and expertise in the region so that cancer sufferers in Yorkshire and throughout the world have access to some of the best treatments and therapies.
