GDF SUEZ produces gas in the North Sea and was one of the most successful exploration companies last year, most of this gas is used by our customers. GDF SUEZ is also able to bring gas into the UK market through the Interconnector between Belgium and UK and finally the NBP market is also a source of gas via our trading subsidiary Gaselys. From 2008, GDF SUEZ will also be able to deliver gas to the UK market through the Isle of Grain LNG terminal.
In electricity, GDF SUEZ Energy UK owns and operates Shotton CHP, 210MW. To complement this, GDF SUEZ Energy UK has access to structured contracts with producers in UK, imports electricity from France through the Interconnector (IFA 2000) and buys from the wholesale market.
